After your free trial, sign up for a Gym, Gym & Pool or Pool membership before 24 December 2023 and pay nothing until January 2024.

Terms and conditionsNew to Christchurch Recreation and Sport
To be eligible for the one week free Gym & Pool trial customers need to:
- Have not been a member of Christchurch City Council Recreation and Sport Centres or received a free trial during 2023.
- Sign up for their free trial between 20 November and 17 December 2023. The trial must commence between 20 November and 17 December 2023.
- Be at least 16 years old.
Current members
- Current members who sign up a friend for a Pool, Gym & Pool or Gym membership within these dates will also receive one month free.
Payment Term Information
- All new customers signing up for a membership during 20 November and 17 December 2023 are eligible for the one week free trial.
- When signing up to a Gym, Gym & Pool or Pool membership via direct debit after your free one week trial, your first month will be free and your direct debit payments will begin at the end of that one month. Payments can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly on a day of your choice. The minimum term for direct debit memberships is 4 weeks in addition to your one month free trial.
- When signing up to a prepaid 12-month Pool, Gym & Pool or Gym membership the one month free will extend your 12-month membership to a 13 month membership.
- The one week free trial and first free month cannot be transferred, exchanged or refunded in cash.
Offer is not valid for Child Pool memberships.
Offer limited to one free trial per person.

How to sign up for a free one week trial
New customersTo get started, please register for a new account.
Once you have logged in, follow these steps:
- Choose your preferred centre.
- Click 'Create a Guest account or redeem code' and click 'Next'.
- Click 'I have a free trial code'.
- Enter the code SUMMERTRIAL and click 'Next'.
- Click the 'One week free trial' membership option and click 'Next'.
- Choose what day you would like to start your contract and click 'Next'.
- Complete your personal details and click 'Next'.
- Proceed through to a summary of your contract details and confirm the booking.
- You can then click 'Go to your client portal' to view your account.

To get started, please login to your account.

- Click 'Contract details'.
- Add a contract to your account.
- Click 'One week free trial'.
- Click ' I have a free trial code'
- Enter the code SUMMERTRIAL and click 'Next'.
- Click the 'One week free trial' membership option and click 'Next'.
- Choose what day you would like to start your contract and click 'Next'.
- Complete your personal details and click 'Next'.
- Proceed through to a summary of your contract details and confirm the booking.
- You can then click 'Go to your client portal' to view your account.
